Salon 1: Adonis, Arab poet, and thinker

Adonis, Guest of Honor of the first Harvard Salon, discussed the problematic of the Arab thought process in modernity. The debate covered both the history and current state of the Arab Word, in terms of culture creation versus culture consumption. Adonis is an Arab poet who was nominated many times for the Nobel Prize of Literature; his books are translated into more than 26 languages.
