Salon 12: H.E. Dr. Ali Al Kaabi, Minister of Labor, UAE

Harvard Salon was honored to invite HE Dr. Ali Al Kaabi, Minister of Labor, UAE, to speak about the recent laws passed by the federal government regarding amnesty and other labor related issues. Dr. Al Kaabi dwelled on the initiatives to resolve any pending illegal laborers and illegal residents in the nation, and the different policies and laws contemplated by the government to ensure knowledge transfer and knowledge capture from the expatriate working population. The former minister of justice of Jordan, HE Dr. Saleheddine Al Bashir, attended the Salon and participated in the discussion of the group with the Salon guest, which encompassed socio-political issues in the UAE and the region.
